How Chat Works

Open a chat

• From a character profile in Explore or from My Chats.
• Each conversation stores its history in your account.

Send messages

Type in the bottom box and press Send (or the equivalent key on mobile). While the AI generates a response, you will see a loading indicator.

Stop a response

If a response is being generated and you want to stop it, use Stop.

Message actions

On each message (yours or the character's), you can open the action menu to:

• Copy the text
• Delete a message
• Rewind the conversation to that point (deletes later messages)
• Report inappropriate content

Chat header

From the header, you can:

• View the character profile
• Open memory for the conversation (depending on your plan)
• Restart the chat (clear that conversation history)

Tips for better responses

• Be clear about the tone and situation you want to roleplay.
• If the character drifts, rewrite the context in your message.
• Use regenerate if a response does not fit.
• Free plan has context limits; Plus and Ultra remember more messages.

Ads on the Free plan

Users on the Free plan may see an ad banner between assistant messages. Paid plans do not show ads in chat.
